Supportive Living Environment
Our halfway house for men, Foundation House, provides a supportive environment for adult males who need to transition to independent living. Living in a community with similar goals and challenges can create a sense of belonging and encourage personal growth. Our residents can live in a safe, supportive, and drug-free environment, helping them to focus on their recovery and long-term goals.
On-Site Residential Staff Support
Our halfway house has on-site residential staff who support and assist our residents. Our staff members are available and trained to support and guide our residents. They assist with managing daily life, resolving conflicts, and creating a structured routine for our residents, helping them to build a sense of responsibility, accountability, and independence.
Peer Recovery Support Services
Peer recovery support services are essential to our halfway house program. Our residents benefit from peer-to-peer support groups, sober social activities, and other supportive services designed to help them achieve long-term recovery. Our peer recovery support services provide a sense of community and belonging and help our residents to learn from each other's experiences and challenges.
Professional Staff Oversight
Our halfway house program is managed by a professional staff who oversee and support our residents. Our staff members have extensive experience in substance abuse recovery and are dedicated to helping our residents achieve long-term recovery. Our professional staff works closely with our residents, developing individualized treatment plans.
Alcohol and Drug Monitoring
We offer alcohol and drug monitoring to our residents to ensure their safety and to provide accountability. Our monitoring program includes random drug and alcohol testing, and residents who violate our policies are subject to consequences. This monitoring helps residents stay accountable and focus on their recovery goals.

Qualification Criteria for Residency in Foundation House
Here are some of the most commonly asked questions about the Foundation House, along with their answers, to provide you with a better understanding of our program and services.
Desire to turn away from addiction: Each individual must express a desire to turn away from their addictive lifestyle and a willingness to remain clean and sober.
Completion of intake forms: Each individual must complete all intake forms, including the application and liability waivers.
Abstinence from mind- and mood-altering substances: Each individual must maintain complete abstinence from all mind- and mood-altering substances. This includes illegal drugs, alcohol, prescription drugs (certain medical exceptions can be made), or any other substance used to alter the mind or mood of an individual.
Commitment to staying sober: Each individual must stay sober for at least twelve (12) months.
Participation in classes and counseling: Each individual must participate in all classes and counseling sessions available, as well as work and fundraising activities.
Admission fee: Each individual must pay a one-time admission fee.
Twelve (12) Steps of Recovery programs: Each individual must be willing to learn how to stay clean and sober through the twelve (12) Steps of Recovery programs of Alcoholics Anonymous ("AA") or Narcotics Anonymous ("NA").
Employment or community service: Each individual must either have a job, be actively seeking employment (this will be verified), be attending an outpatient program, or be participating in community service or volunteer work during the day.
No MAT program: At this time, Foundations to Freedom does not take anyone on the MAT program. An individual must be completely clean and sober of all substances upon admission. We also currently do not admit a convicted sex offender or anyone with severe mental health and violent criminal background.
House fee: Each individual must pay the House fee. Please note that during the admissions process, Foundations are required to call local law enforcement to determine if there are any active warrants on the client.
